G. Emmitt Carter III, PA-C
A native of Seneca, SC, Mr. Carter joined BROA in 2001. He is a graduate
of Furman University where he received a bachelor of science. While
attending Furman, he was a student athletic trainer for 4 years working
in the Furman University Sportsmedicine Center. He received his physician
assistant training at Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC where
he graduated with honors and was president of his Physician Assistant
class. During his time in physician assistant school, he served a
student alternate to the American Academy of Physician Assitant’s
House of Delegates, as well as a student representative for Methodist
College on the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistant’s
Board of Directors.
Mr. Carter began training in orthopaedics in 2001 at Centralina Orthopaedics
and Sportsmedicine Clinic in Salisbury, N.C. During his training,
he assisted in surgery as well as patient care in a clinical setting.
He assisted the team physician for local colleges and local high schools
while covering various athletic events.
Mr. Carter serves as team physician assistant for Seneca High School.
He also provided medical coverage for many athletic events for Anderson University.
Mr. Carter is board certified by the NCCPA. He has also achieved special
recognition in surgery by the NCCPA. He is a fellow member of the
AAPA and the SCAPA. |
