P. Sean McCallum, M.D.
A native of Tampa, Florida, Dr. McCallum joined Blue Ridge Orthopaedics in 1995. He graduated magna cum laude from Furman University in Greenville, SC. He earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine and was selected to the AOA honors society. Dr. McCallum completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, as well as an orthopaedic sports medicine & Arthroscopy fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama.
Dr. McCallum serves as team physician for Daniel High School. He also provides medical coverage for athletic events at Anderson University & Southern Wesleyan University.
Dr. McCallum is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a certificate of additional qualification in Sports Medicine. He is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the South Carolina Medical Association, and the American College of Sports Medicine.
Dr. McCallum’s special areas of interest are minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle in addition to total joint replacement and treatment of orthopaedic trauma.
